Strategic Designs for Planned
Giving Programs
A breakfast workshop series offered
by Bartlett & Co. and
Talbot Wolf Ahearn.
This popular program is designed as a sequential series
of introductory workshops for professionals who are
new to planned giving. Also ideal for those who seek
a refresher course, each session takes a practical
approach to common planned giving issues, offering
practical, hands-on solutions. Emphasis is placed on
developing a planned giving plan for your organization.
Previous attendees have included development professionals,
board members and nonprofit staff, including executive
directors and treasurers or chief financial officers. |

| “You people are the best!
Best PG workshop I’ve had...practical and
relevant.” |
| |
Susan A. Lambert
Planned Giving Officer, Glenmary Home Missioners,

| “I found this to
be one of the most informative and practical overviews
on planned giving I have attended. It covered not
just the basics of planned giving, but more importantly,
how to make it happen in my organization. We would
have never gotten our planned giving program off
the ground without it.” |

Peter J. Bilotta
Development Director, Cincinnati Playhouse in the
Park, Cincinnati, OH |

| “Terrific introduction and
overview...what’s absolutely essential for
implementing a program and why it is so important.
Lots of practical ideas and tips.” |

Karen M. Ryals, CFRE
Executive Director, Friends of Drake Foundation,
Cincinnati, OH |
| |
| “TWA takes the mystery and
intimidation out of planned giving techniques, vehicles
and strategies. I really appreciated the hands-on,
‘user-friendly’ teaching style of the
TWA team. Not only did they reinforce my fledgling
knowledge, they also made planned giving something
I could wrap my arms and brain around! I highly
recommend the TWA program to new and experienced
fundraising professionals.” |

Gretchen C. Gordon
Gift Planning Officer, American Red Cross —
Dayton Area Chapter,
Dayton, OH |

| “Materials received were
very good...Didn’t get this extensive information
from consulting firm we hired previously.” |
| |
Carl E. Moore
Deputy Director, LifeTime Resources, Inc.,
Dillsboro, IN |
| |
| “At first I thought the
monthly session might be too much — but it
actually helped me pace my learning and planning.
It helped me keep in mind this is a ‘long-term’
plan, not a quick fix.” |
| |
Pam Gilley
Executive Director, Ohio County Community Foundation,
Rising Sun, IN
|
| |
| “This workshop offered
me a secure foundation in the art of creating
and maintaining a planned giving program. Through
interactive discussion, games and activities,
our class learned everything from basic planned
giving philosophy to detailed vehicle definitions,
including how to match the right donor with the
right vehicle.” |
| |
Jenna Glass
Development Officer, Children’s Hospital Foundation,

| |
| “This series went beyond
my expectations. I have gone from being totally
clueless to having a plan for starting a planned
giving program for our church. An extra benefit
was meeting the folks from TWA.” |
